I just did download a new TW from TiddlyWiki.com (empty.html) and
tested it with FF 14.0.1. win7. Everything works as expected. So there
may be a 3rd party plugin, that causes some trouble.

is collect all the references together and then be able to link to them
from the appropriate tiddler in a simple manner, without having to embed
loads of pretty links.

I can confirm that TiddlyWiki works well with Firefox 14, but it does not
work with Firefox 15.
I tested it with both versions on the same machine and on the same
operating system. TiddlyWiki definitely does not work out-of-the-box with
Firefox 15, currently.
