The issue is with your recent upgrade to Firefox 17, which breaks saving in
TiddlyWiki. Fortunately, you can restore saving functionality with the
TiddlyFox extension, which you can install here:

I've just realised that I'm probably wrong about the workaround breaking
saving in Internet Explorer.
Could somebody with access to IE try downloading a fresh copy of
TiddlyWiki, adding the beacon as described above, and then testing whether
saving still works?

I upgraded my Toshiba BIOS to the latest version (2.80). Saving from
Firefox has worked flawlessly up to now. But now I am getting the message:
It is not possible to save changes. Possible reasons include:

weird behavior of opening TW with TWITS app in Dropbox. After working out a
bit I could notice that my TW file with version 2.6.5 opens smoothly when
