Hi,
I've just found Jed's alternative tags plug-in and finding it very useful.
I want to hide the new tags associated with various tiddlers (which you can
do via the Control Panel), but would like to see those tag pills in the
body of a new tiddler, in the same way that e.g. <> would show a tag
Thanks for your nod of support. I don't want to get in the way of providing
ePub type stuff. Perhaps a new thread but I don't know how to start it.
I'm thinking that TW is pretty useful as it is and could make some great
dynamic textbooks or notebook where a basic accelerometer is all you need.
Hi,
I'd like to filter my tiddlers so I can identify those with more or fewer
tags. Is this possible, and if so how can I do it?

Good comments, and thanks for the suggestions. I'll check out MAFF and MHT.
PDF is not in hypertext context, i.e. not clickable and page requisites not
viewable as individual files, so for my purposes. doesn't do the trick.
And, yes, scrapbook allows editing of archived pages, something I'm

Hello everyone!
What about Qupzilla (https://www.qupzilla.com/)? It uses QT web-engine.
Is it possible to have a TW plug-in there? Not that I could write it,
unfortunately. :(

Hi Marc - and thanks for your input.
It's great to see another format where TW can provide a solution as a
dynamic (e)book.
I hope I am reading this correctly - but the idea you have it to produce a

Hi Dominik
I do not have exactly what you want – all I can offer is a hovering button that
scrolls to the top of the story. Maybe you can use this as a start?

I thought I'd chime in on this. I may be a renegade but I think TW5 can be much
better than an ePub because of its ability for the user to make changes.
Our church has an excellent but dated family activity book. It has lots of
ideas with descriptions of each idea. Families that can't think of
Hi Chris,
I made some Tabs for the bottom called "MetaTabs". They are a little
easier to understand than MetaTabs, so that you can customize them to
fit your needs.
You can download them at slidesnstories.tiddlyspot.com

Thank you for the very detailed response on file saving. Its enlightening.
It also makes me mildly depressed.
Given that I'd like to create a few hundred TW's of novels with an ability
to save (in one STANDARD way or another) do you have tho

Is needing separate templates really a big problem here? I haven't really

make 3 or 4 templates and use the correct one based on screen size. If you

You floored me on that. :-)
I will reply. A bit later.

Ciao John & Jed
A small point. But perhaps pertinent to the issue of the grain of
Tiddlerisation (i.e. what is the appropriate unit, a sentence, a paragraph,
a page, a chapter?).
My sense is to pay attention to what for readers is the semantic unit of
text that coheres into a "step".

Hi Jed - thanks for the feedback
We actually tried doing that with Spiritual Quest eBook and rounded up some
( novices to TW5 ) and gave them chapters done as slideshows. displaying
one page at a time - just clicking the series of small icons atop that

there were a few that liked it -
Hi Dave,

I think that with what we have right now you could just split your text
into different tiddlers for each section, where sections are either
paragraphs or something longer, and have them display in order with a theme
that doesn't show tiddler boundaries. It would be pretty simple to have
