A workaround is to force a line-break with:

You might check the permissions of the file and see if it is executable.
I am not user of OpenSuse, so I don`t know if the files in your home folder are
allowed by default to execute. On Ubuntu it is so.

I just found out how to do that for the top menu: removing the background
line in $:/_stylesheet/topmenu
Now I'm looking for the left menu.

Hi Ton,
I like very much your top & left menu (http://tw5topleft.tiddlyspot.com/).
But the colors doesn't fit with the themes I use (Vanilla, Snow White,
Starlight).
Is it possible to make the menu use the colors of the theme in use?
Cheers,

Hi Jeremy,
I found a bug in 5.0.7 that was no present in 5.0.6: a non-breaking space
is substituted by @ instead of
This is how to reproduce:
1. Add a non-breaking space in the text of a tiddler ("SHIFT+SPACE" in
my keyboard). It works.
2. Save TW.
3. Reload.

Hi Jeremy,
Do TiddlyDesktop need installation on Linux?
With Ubuntu 13.04, I can run TiddlyDesktop by executing the file `nw` from the
downloaded folder. It works, but not very well. With an empty TW its OK. But
with other ones, the window starts blinking and it is not usable.

You're right!
OS: Ubuntu 13.04
Browser: Firefox 26
There is no problem with Chromium 31 under Ubuntu 13.04.

Hi Stephan and Lorenzo,
My current author's view template shows me the number and the list of its
publications. The template looks like the following (but I actually use
fields instead of tags):
<$list filter="[is[current]tag[author]]">
<$count filter="[is[current]tagging[]tag[publication]]"
Same problem here. When I create an image tiddler with drag and drop, a second
tiddler is created which contains a link to the file in my hdd.

What is the best way to have something like: *if [some boolean condition]
then… * ?
I am trying to create a custom ViewTemplate that shows some information *only
when it exists*. For instance, to show a list of publications of an author
only if there is any:
*If ([is[current]tagging[]tag[publ
Concerning the question n°2, go to http://tw5toolbar.tiddlyspot.com/ and

Sorry, didn't read properly the question. To display a *count* of all
tiddlers, add this:
<$count filter="[!is[system]sort[title]]"/> tiddlers
to the system tiddler $:/core/ui/MoreSideBar/All
But if you put it on another tiddler, it doesn't seem to work, I don't know
why.

To see all tiddlers, look at the right sidebar and click the (More) tab. There,
you will see (All) (Recent) (Tags) etc.

Slider works for me. Thanks!
And it would be great to have something like:
{{description|MyTiddlerTitle||slider}}
Is it possible?

I can't do both. When I upload my TW5 to TiddySpot, the changes are not
saved in my local file. I use Firefox 26 and Chromium 31 on Linux.

I am also looking forward to see it implemented, but I think it is not yet.

@Stephan: I'm glad you found the trick useful and shared it with others.
@Jeremy: As a philosopher, my programming background is as low as the
floor, but I enjoy very much using TW and tweaking what others do for my
own use. Thank you very much for such a great piece of software!

I have just created a tiddler that allows me to search and replace the name
of my tags. It works with two steps:
1. It shows the tiddlers with the old "to-be-replaced" tags. With a
checkbox, I can give them the new tags.
2. It shows the tiddlers with the old AND new tags. With a checkb

Works great!
Following your example, I created a tiddler called "ViewTemplateAuthor"
containing something like that (indented for readability)
<$list filter="[is[current]tag[Author]]">

In classic TW, I used to have different templates (ViewTemplate) to show my
tiddlers, using tags. For instance, all tiddlers tagged "Author" used the
AuthorViewTemplate.
Is there a way to do the same with TW5?
I would like for instance to have a template with the following:
