I recalled the steps!
I didn't recall that I had to create a new Tiddler called "Recent" and
include...
{{$:/core/ui/SideBar/Recent}}
...as the content.
Then I set the Default Tiddler to "Recent"

I am very new to Tiddlywiki, so new I can't seem to find the answer to this
question.
In the Control Panel options, I see a field for "Default Tiddlers" which,
in the beginning is set to "GettingStarted."
I wondered if there was a way to make a Default Tiddler based upon the
Recent list?
