This paves the way for an ambient soundtrack generated by a TW? Different
noises for opening and closing tiddlers etc. Not everyone's cup of tea, but
would make the TW experience more like a game.

Just read that tw 5.1.3 now supports audio tiddlers which is a great thing.
as far as i understand an audio tiddler can be created the following way:
create a tiddler
type audio/mp3 or audio/ogg into the content type field depending if its
a ogg or mp3 file.
