whereas an embedded youtube video url looks like:
http://www.youtube.com/v/ezNScBd7_h4
The /watch?v= gets replaced with
All you need to do is add "&fmt=18" to the youtube url and it should
start in HD.

Update: I've learned that Youtube has videos in Standard Definition,
High Quality (HQ) and High Definition (HD).
It is possible to embed the HD version of a video using the &hd=1 like
so:
http://www.youtube.com/v/eWL5-CSLV-Q&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0&hd=1
But there is no setting for HQ. I will have
