When you use the CheckBoxPlugin you'll have to specify what each
checkboxstate is saved to - are you toggling a tag -

Oh! I actually just realized by some further fiddling that I can do what I
was trying to do without even using the DailyCheckList transclusion.
I had previously been just using this:
checkbox id
to make the checkboxes appear, and had not been understanding that i could
simply write:
[x=1]

[x=2]
[x=3]
and that that would give me three different checkboxes, all able to be
independently checked or unchecked (with all of that info saved).
I believe that you have at least three options: (checking [_=1] won't
be saved to the TWdocument
I figured I'd try bumping this thread... Can anyone help solve the
above-mentioned checkbox question?

So I've got your checckboxes working, and they save whether they are
checked or not when I close and then reopen the tiddler, which is
great!
