Hi everybody,

OK, although I am really new to all this TW world, and I have been
"annoying" the group with several questions (always timely and
usefully answered by the TW masters, I must say), I thought it was my
time to make some contribution to the TW family, taking profit of my
professional background, but always considering my technical
limitations.

I don't know if I already said somewhere else here that I am lawyer,
based in Spain (so, English is not my mother tongue, and neither is
Javascript).

Since the very beginning that I came accross TW, I thought it could be
a great tool to manage legal information, such as laws, resolutions,
decrees, rules and court decisions... to have a personal file with all
this type of information basic for lawyers, attorneys, law students,
etc.

I have been trying to give a chance to Notestorm and TW Notes, for
this task, to manage my collection of regulations and court decisions,
but since those are not particularly oriented for legal information I
have been therefore trying to mount a TW file (from the empty file
provided at tiddlywiki.com, and adding certain plugins I found
interesting), to create a file that seeks to work as a type of Legal
Code of Regulations and Court Decisions, making it easy to collect the
information by means of a form, and then allowing the user to present
a list of the laws and court decisions, ordered by date or topic.

My goal and idea here is to make something more for the usage of a
particular person (lawyer, attorney, law student) to follow and stay
up to date with the regulations and selected court decisions relating
to a particular legal topic or area (e.g. IP law, commercial law,
etc.). I am not trying to include the whole legal system of a country
inside a TW, which I think would be nearly impossible (and there are
already projects seeking this, such as [Jurispedia |
http://www.jurispedia.org]).

With all that in mind, I have created tiddLEGAL, which I have uploaded
for your revision, help and consideration at http://tiddlegal.tiddlyspot.com/

The file is based on the ForEachTiddlerPlugin by abego Software, and
inspired in the way that Bibblywiki works.

In the DefaultTiddlers you will be able to see a longer explanation of
what I am seeking with tiddLEGAL and its purpose.

Due to my technical limitations, at this moment, I am a little stucked
and lost with the next steps to finalize the first useful version of
tiddLEGAL (for example, I cannot find a way to make the sort
regulations by date work). You may also find a ToDo list in
http://tiddlegal.tiddlyspot.com/ , with things I need to change or
tweak, and for which I need some input.

Thus, I would be grateful to receive comments and suggestions from all
of you guys. Also, I would very much appreciate it if I could find
some technical TW master interested in collaborating to finalize this
project, in order to make it available for everybody to use.

Please let me know what you think about tiddLEGAL and do contact me if
you can help me with any of the points pending in my ToDo list, or if
you want to collaborate... or if I can also be of any help to anybody.

Thanks in advance!!

Iggy
