I've just realised when I said the default is TAIP, that that is how mine were
configured - but mine were surplus too. I get TAIP output (it's all 0s) from
power up even before a lock. The 1PPS will only start after

maybe I should ask, is there any trimble interface software? Or is it just

I'm about to read through the manual thoroughly now.

Jim,
I'm assuming the ACE II & ACE III are the same (that's what Trimble says), I
have both PDF manuals and it's almost like they just did a find/replace to
update the model number and leave everything else the same. The pin-outs are
the same, just in the ACE II manual they point out Pin 1, in the

There must have been some network error, because I am currently using

I have downloaded the first file from the free file sharing service and
I am having difficulties uploading it to my site. Apparently the

Didier, I tried uploading to your FTP server, but got an "out of space"
error. I have uploaded both manuals to another site. Feel free to host them
on your manuals page if you like. In the mean time, anyone else can download
them directly from these links.

I have some serial code under Linux that kind of works. Not extremely
robust, but it is being used by the government on some NMD program, so
it's got to be good enough :-)
It is in C and the program runs in console mode. The code uses the
serial port in half duplex mode, which should be fine f

If I did the math right, a 360 phase rotation will take 2000 seconds.
This means the LPRO is about 5x10E-11 off from GPS, no?
What is the protocol for the data at J6? Can it be the same as the
Z3801?

Well I'm playing with the ACE III at the moment too. I have one driving my home
built GPS based clock (I only use the 1 PPS in that) and I have another ACE III
on the bench for fiddling and so I've been recently talking to it via its
serial ports.
The default mode is TAIP on port 1. The actual

I finally got in all the parts and attempted to assemble everything today...
Soldered the 2mm header to the NTS board (little pins are not fun)

Robust serial code is surprisingly non-trivial. Especially in Windows
(don't know about Linux), it's on a par with dealing with network sockets.
To begin with, I'd suggest using Google's code search to look for
line-oriented serial communications code. I have some decent serial-port
code, but it
I've got a new toy but I can't get off the ground.
Does anybody have some simple starter code I can try? My straw man would be
to read the version string or address switches.
I'm usually good at this sort of code. I'm probably overlooking something
simple. (Or it will be simple after I know
I have a PDF of both the Operation and Service manuals for a 2215A. I don't
remember where I found them. I can post them on a file sharing site if
anyone wants them. The files are 36MB/38MB in size.

I've seen service manuals for sale on eBay and other places... Nobody seems
to have free PDFs for download... Bama has a few Tek stuff, but not anything
for mine.
I have my 2215 Operators Manual (not service manual unfortunately), I can
scan it if someone really wants a copy.

Heck I would be grateful for a service manual for my Tektronix 2246. One doesn't

I know this is a little OT for this group, but I was looking for a
replacement knob for my Tek 2215 scope. Just one of the little gray ones
that populates a majority of the dials. I'm pretty sure the 22xx models are
all the same, possibly the entire 2000 series.
Would anyone here happen to have a
