Another update...
Tried TSIP @ 4800 bps... No go... (along with a few other combinations).
Tried removing the jumper (3pins right next to GPS header), NTS would not
boot with the pins removed. I didn't want to switch them as the other pin
has 5V, and Jack's NTS didn't even have that header solder
OOPS!
Sorry, gang. I forgot to mention that my server listens on a
non-standard port. This was done in the interests of reducing the number of
false logins I get by script kiddies looking for an easy cheat, and thus
logging clutter.

I should have mentioned that 10 pin header on 8 pin socket thing.

Finally got a chance to hook up the ACE III units today and tinker around
with them.
They were initially set to TAIP 4800/N81... Which did not work with the
NTS-100.
I tried setting them to TSIP 9600/O81 (eprom default) and 9600/N81 (more
common) but neither seemed to be recognized by the NTS.

Bruce, did you go back to the standard FTP port number? I'm getting a

The new manual looks great, Ulrich. I could imagine Abdul wanting to ship a
copy of EZGPIB with every board he sells. It sure beats Hyperterm!
Along those lines, one of the things that he is doing in his next board
revision is eliminating the DIP switch in favor of storing the address and
device
Erik,
Have just looked at this again on the UK site and see that there is no
antenna advertised. Do you have one available at all??
Thanks

(This info may be in the archive, I think, but maybe it came up on the TAPR
time-freq list and is in that archive instead. Google site search is your

Yeah, I'm dumb, I just looked at the schematic to see what it meant...
The row-to-row spacing is the side on the eyelets/pins (distance between the
two rows)... So it would just vary based on your application if you wanted
the .140 or .200 spacing. Also that was inches, not millimeters.
The rest
I'm about to update the HP-10811AB-Manual.pdf on hparchive.com with new part
numbers for the connectors (eyelets, straight, and 90 degree).
If anyone has any additional information they want added, chime in!
Thanks,
Jack

I haven't tried it yet, but I'm fairly nervous about the phase noise; the
ICS-525 chip isn't really designed for
Yep I'm looking at it right now and yes it has eyelets.

Are you sure about that part number? I'm using edac:

It's the pins (vs the eyelets), but also the row-to-row spacing is .200mm,
and your model number is .140mm.
Do both fit I guess? I couldn't find info on the old CINC connector so I

Hi folks,
this is to inform you that i managed to write a basic user manual for my

Further to my previous reply, the HP Archive website has an Operating &
Service Manual for the 10811A/B at:
http://www.hparchive.com/Manuals/HP-10811AB-Manual.pdf
In section 2.20 on the page numbered 8 (actually the sixteenth page in the
PDF), a 15-pin Cinch connector is described.

Perhaps we should post the e-Bay ID's of these folks so others may avoid them.
