Two of those, with similar symptoms of bad sockets, otherwise similar
appearance, sold within an hour of each other, one for about $100 and
the other for $250.
I guess a number of people got pissed after missing on the first one?
eBay never ceases to amaze me!

Hi Connie,
Interesting way to use Spectrum Lab (I suppose?)

Two of those,
Assuming you're talking about the ones sold by sierrametals, I think I
mentioned a few posts ago (2/13 at 1950 PST) that the problem with an
earlier one he sold was simply that its reference switch was set to EXT.
That appeared to be true of the second one as well.
The earlier one was pretty
John,
One was sold by sierrametals (went for $250), the other by
electronicswest (went for $104)
I remember your posting but did not associate it with these items. I bid
on both, just in case since they were still at $20 an hour before close,
but I was not even close to final price, in either

I remember seeing a number of postings on time-nuts (must have been
Bruce) advocating the increased performance of carrier phase tracking,
but I need to educate myself about what it is and what good it can do
for me :-)
Any feedback

On a different subject, I just won a Novatel Superstar 2 GPS receiver

Bruce,
Thanks a lot, I will wait until I get the unit and find out exactly
which model it is, then I'll let you know what the next questions will
be :-)
All applications I have seen referenced when searching google for
carrier phase tracking had to do with surveying or precise tracking.

Hi Didier:
Many GPS receivers output carrier phase data but it's usually used in
post processing to get survey grade position accuracy. Since the code
phase position accuracy is larger than a wavelength the receiver does
not know how many integer wavelengths to add.
Brooke,
I read about the uncertainty of absolute position because the carrier
phase data has no absolute reference, but that still gives a very
precise relative position (and speed) information.
The point is that for timing, absolute position information is probably
unnecessary. The benefit
Ladies and Gentlemen:
I seek to locate for purchase an original Op/SVC manual for the HP 5062C Cesium

Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

There is another paper just before it. There is also a patent for a
specific
form of implementation.
Note they used an Oncore VP, the Superstar has a better carrier phase
tracking.performance.
