I recently powered up a General Radio model 275 piezo-electric oscillator,
which according to General Radio information was introduced in 1924 as the
first commercially available crystal oscillator. Right now I am using a
type 376-L 1.000 MHz crystal in the oscillator. I am looking for a type

In progress. I'll let you know when it's done.

An additional issue is the pointing instability of the laser used

The 10514/34 design is nothing remarkable. You could
build a considerably better design with currently
available technology. You would have difficulty copying the
design due to the legacy parts used.

I have an eight page manual dated 15 June 1969 for these mixers. It
shows applications and specifications. I have no way to presently scan
it. If somebody is willing to scan it into a PDF file and make it
available, I will be happy to send it via snail mail.
