Hi Maybe I'm just shopping in the right places. I have yet to build up a desktop machine that does *not* have at least one COM port on the motherboard. That's been true all the way from simple little Atom based ITX boards right through monster boards with all sorts of crazy stuff on them.

Hi Some of the problem comes from the OCXO. Some of it also comes from the stability of the internal circuitry. They do some interesting things with delay lines and the like in the SR620. Best bet is to let it warm up for a while before you need it to perform at it's top level of performance.
