Hi, would anyone here have a user manual for the TM7000 unit as a pdf?
Or the configuration software for the RS232 port?
Thanks

Hi
Given that eBay is awash in various older uBlox devices at really low prices,
going for the > $200 a unit single piece price of the LEA-8T seems a bit much.
You get all of the core timing functions in the “not T” parts (including
sawtooth data). The main thing you get with the 7’s (vs the 5
Actually, the Lucent software uses RAIM, and reports the value in its

Gregory,
Thanks for your comments. You are absolutely right that a timing GPS module
is required to make this a proper Time-Nuts solution. I know that many on
the list have been thinking the same thing when they read my posts. Cost

Dan -
I have been following your experimentation with the surplus Lucent KS-24361
REF-0 module, to transform it into a standalone GPSDO.
The original usage of the classic Oncore UT+ GPS receiver for KS-24361 REF-1,
by Symmetricom / Datum for Lucent, was deliberate.

Hi,
I did measure the phase-noise of a FS710 with my TimePod and saw the
same as you. Cross-correlation is a nice tool in the toolbox.
It was really clear that the OSA cesium was much cleaner than the FS710
buffered variant of the signal.
The sawtooth is expected, and the caps just makes su
Launch3 contacted me, this morning, and noted they received over 10 separate
inquiries for the 59532A antenna within 3 hours after I posted on "time-nuts"

For newbies, this is a great price (eBay sells the used antennas for $100 each),

Hello Time-Nuts,
thanks for that hint. Anyone in Europe / Germany interested?
I´d be interested in buying some of those - I´d be willing
to organize a centralised buying, pick them up at the
customs and forward them (if the number stays reasonable

There's a drawing on the spec sheet. It's just a bit of 1 5/8 tube. Try a

Same here,
shipping costs to Italy were quoted at $65, no joy.
I'll try to make some US friend buy one and re-send with cheaper
method, if possible.

I shipped a bunch of ref-0 units to the UK. Saved a huge amount of shipping
by buying a lot. It might not be much more expensive to ship 10 than 1.
There are still a couple of patient folk on this list waiting for me to
ship them on (or maybe they've given up waiting for me to be less busy).

The data sheet has the mast dimension. It is a standard
Hi all, thanks for all the suggestions.
I am starting to think this is a feature not a bug.
I tinkered with the FS710 a bit today. It shows about 600mVpp 100Hz
sawtooth on the +/-13.9VDC input to the voltage regulators.
I changed the big electrolytic caps and the smaller tantalum caps around

For we Europeans, British in my case, the Symmetricom GPS antennas are very
good buy – but the addition of US $60.00 for the shipping makes them rather
expensive ! – plus taxes ..

Well they wanted $65 to ship one to the UK, so I didn’t bother, I guess
shipping in the US will be cheaper!

Hi I have one of the masts, it's just a piece of tubing. According to the
instructions that came with my antenna the mast has an outer diameter of 42mm,
I would expect a metal supply store could supply a suitable piece of pipe or
tubing ?

I decided to order 6 of them. You can never have enough of a good thing at a

each so I went ahead and did that. While I also live in NJ, so they are not all

The Symmetricom data sheet mentions the Option AUB antenna mast. What is
that? I don't find details of it. How does you mount the 58532A antenna
if the Option AUB mast is not available?
