5065A Repair - Progress... As I wrote in an earlier mail, the restored 5065A died (slowly), dropping the 2nd Harmonic reading below 10 after which it lost lock. I could not see any o/p signal coming from A7 so in a moment of confusion, I opened the Rb cavity RX part to see if there was a loose

Thanks for the replies to this, both on and off list. Repairs to the wiring turned out to be fairly straightforward and all now seems to be basically functional, but there still remains the problem of the lamp. I am told that the FRK lamp is not a direct replacement, the base is smaller,
