Hi, I modified my RTL-SDR by adding a blue LED on one side of the crystal. This helped a bit but there is still a little variation with temperature. Anyone else run into this problem? It seems spot-on when checked against available standards but lack an atomic reference. -Andre

Something sitting on the antenna at certain times ? ie a pigeon or seagull.. Also electrical interference is a good possibility, I found that an SDR is a good general diagnostics method. Mine now has a chip antenna swiped from an ld Wifi dongle (2002) which helps a lot around 1 GHz and

Hi, Yes this is indeed the case but the procedure is quite fiddly. IIRC to do this you need to get the lamp in a position where the heat gun can access the front where the pinch is: problem might not be this at all. I would visually inspect lamp and if it looks OK then check everything else
