Hi Norman, Yes it is a VLF antenna for WWVB. I get pretty good reception at this distance and things lock up pretty quickly. It is odd- this antenna is very broad banded, which is unusual for a ferrite antenna. I am going to look into it more. Thanks for the help. Doug
