Avoiding Micro$oft like the plague
Whilst considering the best settings for ADEV measurements, could I
ask for views regarding the venerable HP 5345A counter/timer? I like
this counter, particularly regarding its ability to operate up to
40GHz - with a suitable plug-in of course, and that I have two of
them!
Thanks Geoff

Off to wind the old girl up, Is it right to call a long

I too would be interested in a pdf copy. Ideally in the way of an FTP

Yes, but you only learnt that in Scouts, Sea Scouts had problems with
trees, so they used Polaris to determine North.

was the manual for the XKE2 although I believe it was in German.
If you let me know, I will look back for the new owners email address and
ask him if he can help. Incidentally, it was a 60kHz version.

clock using one, but could never get it better than several

Examining the 8568A circuit diagrams, the OSC 61-61C has three
connections other than the grounds and ~10MHz. There are two
inputs Voven and Vosc and an oven telltale.
Voven is 1 diode drop below +20V, Vosc is two diode drops below
+20V. I have yet to track the oven telltale info.

I will have to reverse engineer it from the 8568A and manual.
BTW, a colleague is scanning the 10811-60111 for me.

in for the EFT on the OSC 49-61C and guess that a pot would be
connected between that pin and ground.
Thanks again Jeff, John, and any further input will be welcome.
