Hi,
I am selling my Fluke 6681 Counter. It is in very good condition, comes with
operator and service manuals. $800 I will email pictures if interested.

Didier,
Any chance of the GPS Monitor which you are developing being available as a
kit?

Subject: [time-nuts] Thunderbolt Monitor
I have uploaded version 0.0.8.
Hi,
I recently acquired a LPRO 101 Rubidium Oscillator. After reading the
manual I see that there are two ways to adjust the frequency 1) using and
adjusting screw on the unit and 2) using the External C-field control signal
at pin J1-7. Has anyone experimented with either method and if so
If I choose to control the frequency via External C-field control I guess it
would take a very precise and stable voltage source. Any thoughts or
suggestions?

The Noritake display looks great.
I am hoping that a kit of this proposed Thunderbolt monitor with the
Noritake display will be made available through TARP in the near future. I
am sure that many of the Thunderbolts which recently became available would
benefit from such a kit.

Hi,
Has anyone determined how an interface could be incorporated into the
Thunderbolt so as to show if it was locked. Some status led's would be nice
such as can be fount on the Z3801's front panel.

Mark,
I hope you or someone else is able to come up with a Thunderbolt controller
for the many of us who have or will be receiving Thunderbolts. A controller
based on a LCD touchscreen would be great in the since that one could
assemble a self-contained frequency standard based on the

I am not among the preorder list, but should like to be on the second

I would like one

There appears to be three software-monitoring programs available, GPSCon
Pro, GPS Control SatStat. I was just curious about what the group thinks
of these three programs or if there are any other available.
The Z3801A manual suggest rg-213 of lmr-400. I have neither on hand but am

Hi,
I am in the process of setting up a Z3801A and would like to know what type of
cable I should use for a 50' run to an 58532A antenna.
Also I need to purchase one of the monitoring software programs for this
Z3801A, any suggestions.

Jamie,
If you have the Spectracom 8140 you need to use the line taps. With out
using the line taps you sinewave will not be symmetrically along 0 voltage,
that is the sine wave will all be positive voltage.
The line taps were available in 10 MHz, 5 MHz, 1 MHz and 0.1MHz.; what that
means,
If it is working and available, where do I send the money.

Hi,
Thanks for uploading the Fluke PM-6681/Pendulum CNT-81 service manual to
http://www.ko4bb.com/cgi-bin/search.pl
Looks like calibration is relatively simple and no special software is
required unless the instrument has lost its calibration information. If
this occurs then an interpolation
In regards to the Fluke 6681 does anyone know where a calibration manual
could be found?

Hi,
I also use a HP 53131A counter and find it to me the nicest, most stable
counter that I have used to date. It is amazing how versatile this counter
is and how stable when using an gps external reference.
Other counters I have or have had are the HP 5370B, 5334, 5335, and various
5328's.
Hi,
I check my 5370b by using the 10 MHz output and feeding it to the counter.
What I see is a fluctuation in the displayed reading of between 9.999 999
998 73 to 9.999 999 997 25. The instrument is set for 1 s gate. Sometimes
one reading will remain for a couple of arming but usually the

What would be a good method of using my Z3801A 10MHz out put to adjust the
