Two power up and lock in <3 minutes. One powers up, gets toasty, and

My first 5680a took at least a half hour to lock the first time.
After that it locked within a few minutes. This is the one that draws
340 ma from 5 volts
but is extremely stable.

IMHO these units are designed for cooling by airflow around them and
minimal conduction cooling. With my unit there is minimal heat flow
from the unit to the PC board it came attached to. I am going to
simply cut down the board a b

want to do about replacing the bad one. You may find out that they will NOT ask
for the old one back because it is a problem sending things back to China with

Have you adjusted C217 while comparing the 10 MHz out of the 'problem child'
to the 10 MHz out of one of your other 'locked' units? If so, and matched
them as close as you can, and still it will not lock, I
