I hope so, the 5680 takes approx 22W on startup, if it is the same on the 5682 that shuld be less than 1/2A Fabio. Hi At 48 volts I would expect the startup to be well below an amp... Bob On Nov 22, 2012, at 12:51 PM, paul swed wrote: > Good luck and remember that when it starts

Ziggy Bob and paul, I'll open it up and check. I have a pair of lab psu to test the unit and a pair of FE5680 to compare the timing. Thank you all for the useful info. Fabio. This message was sent using IMP, the Internet Messaging

The -48V RTN should be the 'positive' side and the POWER -48V should be the 'negative' side. On normal installations the -48V is a black wire, the -48V return is a red wire. It's like having a 'positive ground'. (I've used, manufactured, sold, and installed 48V Telco gear.) On most Telco gear b

Measure both pins and see if 1 is grounded. Telco is indeed -48V. So I would expect hopefully to see pin 8 at close to 0 ohms. If so then the plus of the 48 V would connect here and the label is explicit. But what I have run into is that nothing connects to ground and as such whats minus is a guess

Hi If you have any concern about the wiring of the unit - open it up and check. There are an enormous number of conflicting wiring options for the small FE rubidiums. Bob On Nov 21, 2012, at 5:50 AM, Fabio Eboli wrote: > Hello, > I have a pair of FE-5682A coming, > not that I need them, but

Thank you, Peter and Paul. Now I see that the pinout is almost identical to LPRO-101, the only difference are pins 8 and 10 for power supply. That's nice, I like the external C-Field control, and monitor voltage for lamp, they can be useful. I'm not familiar with telco power supplies, I know only

I would agree that it sounds like you have a -48 telco unit. Thats pretty easy to do as some form of an option or alternate. But I have no proof. Regards Paul On Wed, Nov 21, 2012 at 7:28 AM, Peter Bell wrote: > I'm not familiar with that unit, but the pinout appears to match the > Efratom LPRO-

I'm not familiar with that unit, but the pinout appears to match the Efratom LPRO-101 with the exception of the power supply. On the LPRO, pin 8 is the -ve side of the 24V supply and pin 10 is the +ve side. The "19V to 32V, 24V nominal" spec also matches the LPRO. It's possible that there is mor
