I think you have the xbow version which is some mix of tinyos 1.x and
2.x. Just search for and download tinyos 2.x.

I am new to tinyos, I am trying to go through the TOSSIM tutorial, I was
able to compile the Radiosensetoleds application for simulation (make micaz
sim), but my problem is that when i start the python interpreter and type
"import TOSSIM" i get this error:

Have anyone seen this error before? I really need to use a trusted simulator
for the wsn.
Anyone have a suggestion for a better simulator I can use rather than
TOSSIM? more accurate, easier...?

I would say simply go to your /opt directory and see what version you
have. In my case I can see a subfolder named tinyos2.1.0
