tinyos-1.1.11-3is.exe is the tinyos that I have installed from the beginning. My problem is in the nesc version I have 1.2.8 version and it does not support $ sign. This is why I am getting this error. I have downloaded the patch file from http://www.tinyos.net/dist-1.2.0/tools/source/msp430
I have fixed my update (unistalled everything and installed it again with the new version of nesc). But, now I am facing another problem. when I type in cygwin "make mica2" (knowing that I have set up all the other required information in this line in (makelocal file). I get the following:

I am using tinyos-1.x. I tried to update it using the instructions in tinyos website but the same error keeps appearing even after I updated it using rpm -ivh *.rpm (while I am having the rpm files in the same directory but it is still tinyos-1.x. Am I doing the update in a wrong way?)

I am using MIB520 and I am trying to install the Blink in the cygwin. I did the following:
make mica2 install.0 mib520, /dev/ttyS4 (to use COM5).. I am getting this error all the time:
/opt/MoteWorks/make/avr/binlink.extra:127: You need nesC 1.2 or upward to use Xmesh binary component
