i can suggest following..
1. Clean all COM Ports with FTClean program.
2. Uninstall driver for USB to serial converter.
3. Reinstall Drivers for USB MIB520 and also reinstall MoteView
I got that error too and later i found it was due to redundant USB to Serial
converter driver presence.
