[Tinyos-help] Attaching sounder component to tmote sky?

2007-04-03 Thread Conard, Andrew
Hi, Has anyone here successfully attached a sounder component to a tmote sky mote? What did you do? I would like to be able to use the sounder interface like I once did with the mica2 motes. Thanks. ___ Tinyos-help mailing list Tinyos-help@Millennium.

[Tinyos-help] Tmote Sky Installation Problems

2007-03-26 Thread Conard, Andrew
Hello, I ran into this make error when trying to compile Delta onto the tmote platform: "tmote ident_flags tos_image bnp" does not specify a valid target. Stop. I double checked my environment variables such as TOSROOT, TOSDIR, etc. I don't know what I am doing wrong here. Thanks. _

[Tinyos-help] How to get tmote sky working.

2007-03-19 Thread Conard, Andrew
Hi, We are currently running on the mica2 platform and would like to upgrade to tmote sky. There doesn't seem to be any good documentation (tmote's site contains dead links to zip files) for how to upgrade to this platform. We are running Windows XP by the way. What software tools do we need to

[Tinyos-help] SounderControl.start()

2007-02-12 Thread Conard, Andrew
Hi, I was wondering how this method works exactly. When called once, is it only supposed to "chirp"? Or when you call it, does the sounder stay on until the SounderControl.stop() is called? For some reason, we have a program where the sounder is supposed to stay on for two seconds once a timer

[Tinyos-help] MoteView not working again.

2007-02-09 Thread Conard, Andrew
Hi, Recently I reinstalled MoteView with a newer version and everything was working fine. All of the sudden, today, this software is just not working for me anymore. I am using the Mica2 platform. I can see the XMeshBase_433_hp mote blinking its green LED and the M310 mote blinking its yellow L

[Tinyos-help] Mica2 Mote RF Power

2007-01-26 Thread Conard, Andrew
Hi, I was wondering how to check the current RF power on a Mica2 mote? It seems each mote has a different RF power. For a demo program I am making, I need every single mote to have the exact same RF power. Does it also have to do with the batteries that are on the mote as well? Thanks. ___

[Tinyos-help] Why won't the Mica2 receive messages from certain motes?

2007-01-25 Thread Conard, Andrew
Hi, I have a simple demo program in nesC where: a) A "starter" mote, upon detecting a dark value, broadcasts a message. b) A "router" mote, upon receiving this message, forwards the message (broadcasts it as well) and lights up the green LED. c) A "base" mote finally receives this message and li

[Tinyos-help] Works in TOSSIM but not on the actual motes?

2007-01-15 Thread Conard, Andrew
I've compiled an application successfully and it works fine on the simulator (using the main.exe from the pc build). When I put the same program onto the motes, now it's not behaving properly. Is there any reason why this would happen? I am using the mica2 platform.

I am experiencing a similar problem except my app stops running after about 100 seconds usually (with 3 nodes). With 4 nodes, it stops running after about 30 seconds. I'm pretty sure it isn't because of my software but then again you never know. When I load the program onto the hardware, it keep

Hi, The base station simply prints out packet information for any messages it receives. So you have to have another mote nearby that sends messages. Make sure the motes are fully charged and that the base station is still placed on the serial programming board (assuming that you are using the m
