I agree. But What's worse is to have code that will change anyway in the
official release.
My 2 cents.

Robert,
The delay value that you specify using setRetryDelay() starts a timer
after the first packet transmission attempt is done. So 2) would be the
case. You can checkout the implementations in
/tos/chips/cc2420/link/PacketLinkP.nc.

If you are using the security branch provided in

you probably did not add CFLAGS+=-DCC2420_HW_SECURITY in you Makefile.
Try adding this option and try again :)
Thanks.
Aniket,
It seems like you are not using the proper CC2420RecieveP.nc file and
potentially many other files are not properly pulled.
PLEASE pull the entire tree using git from the repository.
This problem is not seen when the security tree is properly pulled.

The inline security functionalities for cc2420 are available through the

Hi!
If you are using a Telosb, the radio of the Telosb (CC2420) has a AES

The features are enabled for use in TinyOS2.1 and the link to the GIT

Hi Raunak,
I am not sure about TinySec but as for other security mechanisims, the
git tree for TinyOS 2 with CC2420 in-line security features can be found at
http://hinrg.cs.jhu.edu/git/?p=jgko/tinyos-2.x.git;a=summary
It is currently using a 802.15.4 compatible header format.
