Are you using 2.x?
I use the 'sf' serial forwarder, which seems to work fine both ways without any
special flags.
I use the sfsend command to actually send data (it's one of the C-based
components), which
communicates to the serial forwarder to send messages. There is the Java stuff
too, b

I am using tinyos 1.1.7 - there is sf which seems to work only one way (from
serial port to TCP socket). Maybe I will try sf from tinyos 2.0. Could you send
