There is not CC2420 low power listening mode as such. When the radio is
listening, it always consumes the same amount of power (which is, by the
way, more than for sending). All you can do is adjust the sending power,
but in reality this has very little effect on the overall power

Is there a way to put CC2420 into low power radio listening state .
This can be done for CC1000 using CC1000RadioIntM.setListeningMode(i) . Is
there something analogous to this one that works with telosb.
