If u read the TOSBase application, u'll understand that it listens on the radio channel and transmits thesame values on the UART(serial) which are recieved by serial forwarded.
I think u can modify the program to make work it the other way round i.e serial to RFM.
I have modified the TOS base and made an application called RfmToRfm i.e this application will work as a router between two nodes. it recieves messages on the radio channel from nodeA and sends them on the radio to node B . I loaded CounttoRfmandLeds on nodeA and loaded RfmToLeds on nodeB and tested it.
