I my app I launched two motes A and B. the mote A send a message at time 0s, this message is received by B at time 9ms. What represents this 9 ms ? the time of transmission (length/bandwith) or the time of propagation or the time of waiting the channel or both? In addition why when repeating the experience (the execution) we get different time (9, 17, 6 etc...)?
Any help please Best regards, > In fact I do but I do not receive response. > What I would like to know is how the transmission time is calculated. > In fact I do the following experience, > A------------------>B tx time: 9 ms > A------------------>B tx time: 4 ms > B------------------>A: tx time: 6 ms > > The question is why message take different transmission time with same link. > > Best regards, > > -----Original Message----- > From: Philip Levis [mailto:p...@cs.stanford.edu] Sent: Thursday, August > 12, > 2010 4:19 PM > To: Omar Cheikhrouhou (cesLab) > Subject: Re: transmission time in TOSSIM > > Please send questions to tinyos-help. > > Phil > > On Aug 12, 2010, at 5:16 AM, Omar Cheikhrouhou (cesLab) wrote: > >> Hello, >> Please, can you tell me How tossim measure transmission time ? >> >> Best regards, >> ********************************************** >> Omar Cheikhrouhou >> Engineer & Researcher @SENS Lab (Software Engineering and Network >> Security) Higher Institute of Technological Studies - Address : >> Mahdia's road Km 2.5 Sfax.
