Here are some observations, & I didn't take any notes so all from memory.

There were a number of detailed Power Point presentations - so hope they
will be made available.

As ever it was an excellent event - amazing for the breadth and depth of
embedded software.
The synergy of different groups from round the world coming together is
quite remarkable.

What stood out for me
- TinyOS 2.0 Working group - Core components available, and you need the
presentation to see which one. A TinyOS 1.x layer is being discussed, but is
only available on TelosB modules
- Networking (between processors) - needs some form of decision as to which
layers to standardize on (that's what I took away from the discussion, but
lots else going on)
- Alliance - innovation at the human to human level. How to include a wider
group of people, including levels of corporate membership. TinyOS is
adapting to its maturing status, and trying to figure out how to open up
more.
- 8051 - trying to bring the venerable 8051 to the TinyOS family, as it is
so widely available as a SoC.

There were lots of interesting posters - including a group from Denmark
working on 802.15.4.
Some very interesting hardware from Australia CSIRO that was showing a group
of custom boards they have built and are actively using. Ported the early
versions of TinyOS
- Mike Horton Xbow, talking about their OEM "stamp" version
- Joe Polastre banging the drum for common hardware interfaces. Go Joe!!
- Invensys, have been widely using early versions of the software. They are
looking at how the devices can live together. The holy grail is a protocol
gateway to IPv6.
>From the hardware chip manufactures - wireless is likely to be just another
serial interface in the future.
Finishing with a rousing discussion on were is the line with Stability vs
Innovation - and since I was on that panel I'll say the last word -
stability is the innovation that is needed in software. :)

Apologies for missing out many other good things.

A poll was taken at the end, and at least half the people were from outside
California, with people from Denmark, Germany, Koreas, China, Taiwan...
