It has been determined that the video tape of Skinner has no copyright so
IMS at Oakton is making copies for me. I need a reminder however
regarding who wanted a copy.

Joan,
If there is no copyright on that video, that means it could be
digitized and put online in a streaming format. Any chance your IMS
dept would want to do that for the benefit of all humankind? No CD/DVDs
would have to be sacrificed.

What a great idea! I am sending a copy of your email to the head of our
entire IMS department, Bob Burton, who has extensive experience with all
sorts of video/film techie stuff. We also have a TV studio with terrific
folks working there so I'd be surprised if this wasn't possible. Bob,
what do

I think it is more important to get it digitized. VHS is a
quickly-dying technology.

Having made a similar offer last year, I have some sage advice for you, Joan:
"You're freakin' nuts!!"

Right!
Once it is digitized it can also easily be distributed on DVDs.

Fact is, I've only received 4 requests which I plan to proceed with.
Oakton (I hope) will also be digitizing this tape for online accessibility
which of course is far superior. Why do you guys like put down others on
this listserv? But to respond to your question, no Edward, I'm not
freaking nut
