Indiana University East invites applications for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology beginning August 1999. This is a replacement position for a person on administrative reassignment. Initial appointment will be for one year with possible renewal annually for up to two additional years based on performance. Qualifications: A Ph.D. in psychology is required for appointment to the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology. Consideration for appointment at a Lecturer rank will be given for outstanding candidates without a doctorate. Successful teaching experience is essential and experience teaching at the undergraduate level is preferred. The need is for a person who can teach in a Generalist position in a four person department. It is required for the applicant to show evidence of competency in teaching a range of lower and upper level undergraduate courses. Applicants should include in their letter of interest a discussion of areas of teaching competency at the undergraduate level.
