Jim noticed the Banding around his upper stomach even before he was diagnosed, and mentioned it to me several times. His discription was a "tight belt". I was sitting in his room at Henry Ford hosp. and when the head neuro and several interns were discussing him out in the hall, I picked up on" It might be Transverse Myelitis" As soon as I got home I got right to "GOOGLE". As soon as I read the tight banding I knew that was it. I called the neuro and he said that was right and they already had him on steroids. That of course was 4 years ago. He still mentioned it on occasion and of course now he has a whole new kind of problems.
