There is no relation in the illness, only in the treatment. Non diabetes can
be treated with high doses of prednison, while diabetes needs other kinds of
treatments wich are not so very helpfull.

Transverse Myelitis got me in 1996, diabetes in 1998, & breast cancer in
2000. Nothing new since then...that I know about!!

I don't believe that there is a relation between the Diabetes and Transverse Myelitis. But I have heard that the nerve pains are similar. I use an Anodyne Therapy that is used for people with Diabetes with nerve pains. www.anodynetherapy.com. Hopes this helps, Todd in Corpus Christi, TexasPy
