G... One word: compiz. Didn't even realize I had it on this machine (IT provided the image). The windows weren't doing cool desktop-effect things, so I didn't even think about it. When I discovered it, I disabled it, and bam! It works as expected now. Yeesh. -- Micah J. Cowan
