All, Knowing the popularity of Tomcat and the stability of the system I'm sure a lot of thought on design must have gone into this great peice of Java software. I'm interesting in the various design strategies, Patterns that have been used in the process of developing Catalina. It would server a great case study. I was briefly looking at it and there seems to be a whole lot of information on good design strategies that Java developers can use to architect their applications to be scalable and extensible.
