Using Tomcat on top of IIS 4.0

To whom it may concern

I have recently implemented your solution for using Tomcat and IIS 4.0 together. In 
your on-line
documentation for this solution, one of the steps is to create a virtual directory in 
IIS called
"jakarta" which points to the directory containing the isapi_redirector.dll file. I do 
not see the
relevance of this step, and I would like to know for sure if I can leave it out.

Could you please clear this up for me.
