I had the same issue with shut downs. What shell is the login using that you initially logged in with. The default login shell of sh does not allow the catalinal.sh to run correctly. I had to run the catalina.sh from a ksh logged in user. Or try switching the catalina.sh to #!/usr/bin/ksh. --- d

help redirecting requests to mod_jk

I am trying to setup apache to answer all incoming requests and redirect JSP/WAR requests to Jakarata. Does mod_jk need to have a listener for HTTP or HTTPS requests? Or can HTTP and HTTPS be answered by apache and have apache redirect the requests to tomcat?

New User with mod_jk

Does tomcat mod_jk have to be listening on the HTTP or HTTPS port or can Apache redirect incoming jsp/war requests to mod_jk. I was lead to believe that Apache can redirect the requests if so can someone point me to the howto info. Thanks - Do You Yahoo!?
