I have also done a search on the apache.org site for this but can't find
anything that looks relevant.

I am using version 4 of Tomcat.
I have written a number of custom tags and these appear to work fine.
However, I had always understood that an individual insta
their default state. On looking at
what is going on in my custom tag classes a bit more closely I have realised
that a new instance of the class is being created each time I use the tag.
Is this correct behaviour?
Have I missed something somewhere?
