Log stderr and stdout into log file in tomcat 5

Hi, How to configure tomcat 5 to log stderr and stdout to the log file. I tried it using logging.properties but the stdout and stderr is displaying only in the console. What I need is to log into the file. I am using tomcat 5.5.9 in windows. How to configure logging.properties file? With regar
