When I do a getParameterNames() . i get the id back ... but not
the path is my parameter seperator not correct ? i am using a
, (comma) to seperate two parameters.

The + characters maps to a space. Try :
http://localhost:8080/myproject/MyJsp.jsp?id=2=/myproject/mydirectory/MyOtherJSP
