Hi, It needs to have read permissions on the webapps and conf directories, and their subdirectories. It needs to have write permissions on the conf/tomcat-users.xml file if that's what you're using for user authentication (which is the default). It needs to have read and write permissions on its work and temp directories. If you have unpackWARs set to true in your Host declaration (which is the default), it needs write permission on the appBase directory for the Host. That's most of it.
