Electric Fence Post Insulators do work but... Check every so often, as trees
grow the plastic insulators pop off the nails. This has happened to me
three times in the past three years. Not every one of them but this year
four popped. Two of them were on adjacent trees and allowed my double FCP

A couple of things going on here. Loss to the ground from the FCP
increases as you go lower. Do it as high as you can and "get away
with it". That is something only you can figure out. Remember that
the unconnected end of the FCP wire has some considerable voltage on
it key down.

Hi Rick,
My FCP will be in the woods in trees with the 2 element leg visible and the
3 element side in the trees to keep down visibility.
I will try these electric fence insulators mounted in trees. They allow the
FCP to be
lifted and removed because of an open slot in the top of the insulato
Hello
I am planning a 160 M FCP and inverted L installation for the upcoming
winter season. The space available for both the inverted L and FCP are
limited and I have to make the installation neat to please the XYL.
I have a pressure treated board fence that can be used to support the FCP.

Hello Cristi,
no PAPER-QSL till now, on any method around. Only LOTW to the donors and OQRS
users, like mine: http://www.cqfriends.com/ham_images/IZ5MOQ_7o6t_lotw.jpg.
I am able to say it because "I am involved" on any 7O6T QSL method: OQRS+LOTW (

Does anybody receive a QSL from 7O6T on 160m?
If yes, please let me know what was the method.
I send a QSL with an IRC inside to UA3DX as they mentioned on the WEB site,
without success.
Thank you.

Any preamplifiers? Any trace of additional modulation?
A mixing of BC signals will have at least a faint second modulation, **and**
a mixing of BC signals or a harmonic distortion spurious always falls on a

Hello,
As I am slowing working my way into 160M, I have been listening to my
new reversible 480ft Beverage antenna.
I live in a rural area. However, there is one small town about 5 miles
from me. The only really strong BC station near me is a 500W (day time)
(not 5,000W) station at 1.490MHz. It
Interesting. My 160 M QSO appeared and 6 other bands but my 80 and 20 meter
QSOs haven't appeared. Since their website said that they had some
difficulty with uploading a group of QSOs I assumed that this would be taken
care of in due time.
