Hi Steve, If you still need zone 13, I plan to be active during the week
previous to CQWWSSB and also during the contest only on 160.
Also I plan to participate during CQWW CW and a few days prior to that in slow
motion (10WPM)
If you still need it, drop me a note.
BTW I also need zone 2. So ma
Steve,
For what it's worth, VB2T will be a multi-single from Zone 2 for CQ WW SSB
this year. You can see this at http://www.ng3k.com/Misc/cqs2015.html.
Haven't seen any Zone 2 plans yet for CQ WW CW. Keep your fingers crossed.

Update: it now looks like increasing the current DOES degrade the NF.
The Motorola LT1001A datasheet (now linked to from my preamp page)
indicates that. I couldn't find a similar datasheet for the 2N5109.

My guess is that the NF was changed little if any. I'm sure it helped the
signal-handling capability.

Over the last 20 years I’ve been slowly working my way towards 40 zone WAZ on
the topband – 37 down and three to go – zones 2, 12 and 13.
Please, does anyone know if any lowbander is planning activity from zone 2 over
this season, particularly from the VE2 part of the zone.
