Larry, N7DD I do not believe that you are 35 years out of date. Sure the "Plastic Boxes" have 160 on them and there are many amplifiers that pump out max power on Top Band. The antennas are a different problem. Putting up a 160 meter dipole can be impossible on a normal city lot. My lot is 90 ft

FWIW - 160 has been a huge challenge for me and whether my equipment/antennas came out of a box or required considerable effort to assemble is no matter. However you get on 160 success requires lots of dedication and time in front of the rig to catch that 2 minute opening to snag a new one. T

Sorry Bob that I appeared deaf but I had the Beverages on EU most of the time to reduce the clix from a nearby local station. I did work later both KH6ZM and KH6AT and both were very strong when they called me. Also many W6's and W7's are in my log. Condition to EU were good so I concentrated o
