Me too, regardless of the band. Anytime I tried to reach them they were
on FT8, not on CW...

I went to bed at 11pm PDST and left FT-8 on until I got up about 8:30 am. Here
are the stations that decoded at my super station hi hi list first to last CQ
so you get an idea of the windows.Oddly enough I can use a VK for DXCC but just

I missed them too. Last days that I was QAP, they didnt go to 160 CW before
my sunrise. I asked them to go to 160 before 09 utc but the answer was that
all i needed to do is "to listen" :-)
I heard them 2 days ago 25 minutes after my sunrise, but thet didn´t got me

Phased Bevs are great. . .if you have the room and not have to take them down
seasonally for crop work, etc. I put up the Hi-Z 8 circle/160 array about
seven years ago, have not put up a Beverage since. . .and not looked back.

Guys,
I have had better luck here in Atlanta with the Hi-Z 8. Lee, K7TJR, has
increased the lightening protection and I have been basically strike free for a
couple of years. The 100 ft 45G (with the Waller Flag at 95 feet) pretty much
takes the
Strikes halfway up the big hill toward the QTH. T
Well, I did get them on digital but missed
them on 160. Bad timing on my end & do
need VK9-N on 160.
