If you have never tried WSPR or watched the WSPR Map then you are missing a
great beacon tool for openings and RF paths.
WSPR is a beaconing tool and I have used it very successfully as a
propagation tool.

As far as I know hams in VU are bound by Indian Wireless Telegraph (Amateur
Service) Amendment Rules, 2009 dated 1 April 2010 and Indian Wireless Telegraph

So this is Wednesday Evening in North America and into Thursday morning here

Personally, I usually come on from around 23.45Z on Wednesday Night, for

So I'm plugging the idea of this regular CW Activity Night every Wednesday

Cheap power supplies lack mains input filtering at the PCB, that is, at
least one mixed or common mode inductor, three or four capacitors, a
couple of resistors.
The best ones also add a similar filter between mains chassis socket and
the PCB.
These cheap power supplies run the mains straight thr
Hi Fred,
When I moved to upstate NY 25 years ago I put up 3 beverages ranging in length
from 300-350'. That was the max length I could fit on my property. They had
directivity and some F/B. I should add I am using these receive antennas for

Hi,
One solution is to use batteries. Charge the batteries while you are
*NOT* using the radios and noisy power supplies won't interfere (unplug
those rascals). I am using a combination of batteries and old fashioned
'iron' chargers. There is no power line crud conducted into my radios

I have now tossed all my Amateur switching supplies (almost). The older
they got, the noisier they got.
The last one to go was the Alinco DM-330V. I really liked this as a bench
supply, but its time has come.
It was bad on 160M and even bad on 6M. I replaced it with an old iron

One more I forgot. I have 2 bikes and I have battery tenders on them. These

I second the power supply as well. I used

I was up trying to find their CW sigs this

time but couldn't pick up who they were

Couldn't hear anything from H40TT but heard the horde calling so guess he
was there. Not a whisper from VK9CZ, but did hear RT0F who peaked out of
the noise at my sunrise and that gave me a new country and zone for 160m.
Antenna is inverted L with 70ft vertical. Many radials...

If the "comment police" does it, is it still bullying ?
