Hi All,
How far should a K9AY be spaced from resonant antenna? I presume there is
no impact from nearby trees.
Please advise.

Thanks Clive! I did a F/B test towards the TX ant and the F/B is indeed
5 db less. I may need to think of that solution.

Clive,
The vertical is 130m away from the array center. I'm presuming this is a
good distance to avoid interaction.

Hi guys,
I built a 4 Square Receiving Array for 160m at 3V8SF. I put details in
my website: http://kf5eyy.info/topband.htm
The achieved F/B so far is 20 db and the F/S is 19 db. There is still
room for improvement with better matching of the elements. I'll need
time to do that.

Greg,
I re-did the exercise at 470m distance from both ends of the beverage
and the F/B has increased to 7db. I was tired to go further in a VERY
muddy ground but I will test again at near-field edge (around 840m) when
it gets drier.
Thanks

Hi All,
I used a 1.843 oscillator to check NA beverage F/B. The mesurements were
taken 160m away from each end of the antenna. Noise level was constant. I
had 4 dB difference between front and back signals.
Is that what I should expect? Is 1 wavelength distance enough to do this
experience?

Hi all,
The toploaded vertical is up and running. I had to put the antenna wire
1.5m away from the mast which was making the SWR curve weird. Then
everything went good after hairpin match adjustment!
I put in my website a map of the QSOed stations last night with 100W CW.
The antenna worked
Hi all,
I just finished setting up my vertical antenna for 160 in 3V8SF
location. It is 17m (55 ft) long with 2 top loading wires 12m each
(40ft), angle to vertical about 40 deg. I added 8 radials, 20m each
(65ft).
With no shunt matching, the SWR at antenna base is 3.2 and at radio side
is

winter!

Hi All
I measured the SWR in my beverage antenna; the SWR fluctuates between 1.5
and 3 in a range of 1.8 to 7 MHz. (See:

)
I know SWR should not vary too much. However, some people are suggesting
adjusting the
(where the beverage is). I should be ready with that and another
beverage to AS by the time propagation improves.

Hi All,
I set up a 260m long beverage beaming NA back in March. The height from
ground was 1m. It performed well (RBN spots of US stations). I dismantled
it then re-installed it two weeks ago at 2m high. But I almost can't have
any US station reported. Is it a matter of poor propagation these
